What happens if an Easy TCA
treatment is applied to a man?
- Mens skin is often thicker and fattier than that of women (due to hormonal
influences) so it is possible, and even probable, that a single layer of the Easy TCA acid
solution will not lead to the desired appearance of the little spots of whitening prior to
application of the post-peel cream. All that need be done is to wait for the Easy TCA
solution to dry completely on the skin, and then apply one or maybe two additional layers
of solution to make the spots of "frosting" appear.
- Shaving can cause minor, or major, excoriation and cuts. Thus, applying Easy TCA
solution in the morning shortly after shaving can be more painful for men, due to the acid
penetrating these small wounds. However, applying Easy TCA to shaved skin is not
necessarily harmful; quite the contrary, in fact, as the acids help to disinfect the minor
cuts.
- The skin flaking that appears around the third day is not a contraindication for
shaving. On the contrary, shaving with a razor blade will eliminate the scales quickly.
With an electric razor, however, the scales will accumulate in the mechanism of the razor,
which must be painstakingly cleaned and disinfected following each use.
- Using the Skin Tech moisturizing and anti-oxidant cream after shaving is indisputably
soothing for the skin.
