Various application protocols can be followed; the one most frequently used is the
"basic protocol" (see the technical handbook), which prescribes application of
the acid until the first spots of whitening appear.
In this case, it is recommended that the peeling be repeated once a week for four
weeks. If for any reason the patient should stop the treatment in course and then attend
again two weeks after the previous peeling, the treatment will have to be started all over
again. In certain circumstances, if the skin can withstand it without irritation, Easy TCA
under the basic protocol may be repeated after only five days. Leaving less than five days
between two Easy TCA peel sessions would entail a risk of damaging the skin, while leaving
more than two weeks suppresses the effect of "stimulation of the stimulation".
The ideal is therefore one week between peelings
