Can
anaesthetic cream
be used before peeling?
There are many reasons for which anaesthetic creams are inadvisable, including the fact that they modify the skin’s permeability given the formulation of the cream or the necessary occlusion. Also, the anaesthetic cream’s pH, which is occasionally clearly basic, modifies the skin’s acidity or partially neutralises the acid’s action. Thus, using anaesthetic cream before a peeling can greatly modify its evolution and the results. On the other hand, neither Easy TCA, Easy Phytic or Only Touch need local anaesthetic (except if using abrasion + Easy TCA or deeper protocols).
