Can Easy TCA be applied on eyelids?
The concentration of the Easy TCA solution is under 15% mass per mass, thus it can be applied without risk to upper and lower eyelids up until 2-3 mm from eyelashes. Base protocol: Usually, the Easy TCA solution is applied with a double cotton bud that has already been used on another part of the body, and thus contains a lesser concentration of TCA. For example, the Easy TCA solution can be applied on upper eyelids with cotton buds that have formerly been used on the forehead, whilst lower eyelids can be treated with cotton buds used for cheeks. In these cases one should not expect frosting (protein coagulation) at eyelid level. In any case, the appearance of frosting points or pink-white specific diffuse frosting, which could appear involuntarily on the lower eyelid, should not entail any problems. Deeper protocols: the appearance of a pink-white frosting (protein coagulation) on the lower eyelid is normal. However, users should not aim for frosting that is stronger (whiter) than this pink-white tone.
