Classically, the Easy TCA base protocol would be
repeated once a week, for four weeks. If stopped only after 2-3 sessions there is an
increased risk of certain side-effects or of insufficient results.
On the other hand, the treatment of resistant
hyperchromia or certain superficial scarring may call for an increased number of sessions,
so it is possible to envisage cases of 5 or even 6 sessions of Easy TCA base protocol.
This however would be a matter for the doctor to decide, as he must evaluate whether the
patients skin would be able to withstand as well as benefit from the extra sessions.
Persistent skin irritation or abnormal erythema
should, of course, alert the doctor to consider any further peelings. Thick, greasy skins
can usually withstand more sessions than thin, dry skins.
