MES0THERAPY | MESOTERAPIA | MESOTHERAPIE First described in FRANCE by Doctor PISTOR in 1958, Mesotherapy is a treatment method devised for controlling pain syndromes, or diseases by micro-injections at the point of the human body where pain is felt or the disease is present. This avoids oral medications which first has to go into the stomach and back through the bloodstream to the point of the pain, lesion, disturbance or disease. Mesotherapy introduces the same medicine through multiple micro-injections at or around the point of trouble, never deeper than subcutaneous or intradermally. just droplets of medication, painlessly administrated. To achieve these multiple micro-injections we use a new instrumento called " PISTOR 4 " which can be programmed to make one single injection or multiple micro-injections. HOW WAS THIS NAME SELECTED? Because "MESO" in Greek means "Middle" and Mesotherapy is always the stimulation of the mesodermal tissue. In the embryonic development you have three tissues: ectodermal, mesodermal and endodermal. In the development of the embryo all the human organism is 90% of mesodermal tissue. WHY WOULD A SMALL AMOUNT OF MEDICATION, APPLIED AT THEPOINTOF TROUBLE, HAYE A BETTER EFFECT THAN THE STANDARD KIND OF INJECTION? When you give oral medication or intramuscular injections, you know the total amount you have given, but you don't know how much of this medication is delivered to the site where action is necessary. It is very difficult to know if the diseased tissue
has received the amount of medication required to have the desired action. WHY IS THE HIGH SPEED OF INJECTION AN ADVANTAGE? Because the injection is so quick that pain has not enough time to reach the cortex where It is recorded. There is little possibility of a pain reaction when you give a high speed injection. That is the reason for performing Mesotherapy with the automatic repetitive machine. WILL SMALL AMOUNTS OF MEDICATION REACH THE BLOODSTREAM OF THE BODY? The micro-circulation is located in the connective
tissue. IS THE AMOUNT OF MEDICATION YOU INJECT ALWAYS THE SAME, AND WHAT ISTHIS AMOUNT? The amount of medication we use is between 2/100 cc and 3/100 cc, depending on the disease and anatomy.When we use Mesotherapy for finger-pain or arthritis we use about 5 minims around the finger. A larger area, like lumbago-pain, up to hundred drops. But this is still very little in volume. HOW LONG IS THE NEEDLE YOU USE AND HOW DEEP WILL IT PENETRATE INTO THE SKIN ? We use a needle 4mm long and have a penetration of maximum of 4mm, but usually only 2 or 3mm. HOW MANY INJECTIONS WILL YOU MAKE WITH THE ELECTRONIC INJECTOR FOR A LOCAL TREATMENT? The number of injections is variable and is dependant on the patient, the disease and the anatomy at the injection site.When we treat for finger-pain or arthritis, we inject some drops around the finger because the area is very small, and when we treat lumbago-pain, the area being larger, we increase the number of injections. 200 injections are tolerable because the patient does not feel any pain with the automatic repetitive injector "PISTOR 4". IS THERE DANGER IN MAKING SO MANY INJECTIONS? There is no danger with a disposable material. WHAT IS THE KIND OF MEDICINE YOU
ARE USING? Almost all formulas have basically Procaine or Lidocaine. We add for treatment of arthritis some vitamin B 1 or
B 1 2. WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON CONDITIONS TREATED? Mesotherapy is mostly used for relief of pain of all
forms of arthritis and vascular diseases, and is especially useful for migraine headache. HOW OFTEN HAS THE TREATMENT TO BE REPEATED AND WITH WHAT TIME INTERVAL? This is very difficult to answer.There is no firm rule possible. It is usual to provide a treament one week after the first treatment and an other two weeks after the second treatment.After one month evaluation the need and frequency for further treatment will be determined. Patients with arthritis do well with treatments two
or three months apart, after initial relief is obtained. WHAT ARE THE PERCENTAGES OF SUCCESS ACHIEVED IN TREATMENT OF THESE CONDITIONS? 70% good results obtained. When successful It is often very spectacular. IS THIS METHOD DIFFICULT TO USE? No. Any Doctor can master Mesotherapy in a short time. QUELQUES PRECISIONS SUR LA MESOTHERAPIE La Mésothérapie, technique médicale française mise au point par le Dr. Michel PISTOR en 1952, consiste à injecter des médicaments à très faibles doses, dans ou sous la peau, le plus près possible de la lésion ou de son origine, là où se trouve la maladie, là où s’exprime la douleur, avec le minimum d’effets indésirables. L’injection se fait à l’aide de très fines aiguilles et à une profondeur de quelques millimètres. Ces injections répétées sont réalisées soit manuellement, soit avec un pistolet d’injection ou un mésoperfuseur Il s’agit d’un acte thérapeutique, réalisé après un examen médical, destiné à établir un diagnostic précis de la maladie. Si votre médecin estime que, dans votre cas, la Mésothérapie est le traitement le plus performant et le moins agressif pour votre organisme, il vous proposera cette technique. La tolérance aux médicaments est meilleure, du fait des microdoses utilisées. C’est pour cette raison que la Mésothérapie ne peut être pratiquée que par un Médecin. Le matériel utilisé est stérile et à usage unique, il n’y a donc pas de risque de transmission du SIDA ou de l’Hépatite. La cortisone n’est jamais utilisée dans les mélanges préconisés par la S.F.M. La Mésothérapie est très performante dans de nombreux domaines. MESOTHERAPIE ET MEDECINE DU SPORT Un grand nombre de sportifs de haut niveau sont traités par Mésothérapie en France et à l’étranger. Ils sont ainsi plus vite rétablis et peuvent reprendre l’entraînement, sans consommer de médicaments par voie générale et sans infiltration de cortisone. Les affections traumatiques articulaires (telles que les entorses de cheville), ainsi que les tendinites du coude ou de l’épaule, les élongations musculaires, sont du ressort de la Mésothérapie. Ce traitement peut être complété par les techniques classiques de strapping, physiothérapie ou kinésithérapie. STIMULATION DES DEFENSES IMMUNITAIRES DE L’ ORGANISME Dans les infections récidivantes ou chroniques telles que rhino-pharyngite, angine, otite, sinusite, bronchite, cystite, etc... la Mésothérapie permet de diminuer de façon notable la prise d’antibiotiques et l’absentéisme scolaire des enfants notamment.
